San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

The SFMoMA is a beautiful building and the layout once inside is clear and communicated well. The procession between floors through tapering monumental stairs is a nice design move and indicates where you are in the building without relying on environmental graphics. The special exhibit on Magritte was nice, but the staggered timed entry didn’t work well. It created congestion where it meant to minimize it. Other parts of the museum held pleasant surprises; the cafe had an interactive photo generator complete with a small print out of your created images. Another nice touch of the SFMoMA was the reflected spaces sprinkled throughout the museum.
