We are looking for a Project Accountant to join our talented and energetic Chicago team.

Monthly distribution of billing drafts to billing managers
Assist billing managers in review and corrections to any labor, consultant, or expense entries
Execute all client billing, monitor ongoing reconciliations, and distribute client invoicing through multiple channels
Execute waivers or any other client requested backup as needed
Set up all projects/budgets in Deltek Ajera software and keep all project documentation filed and organized
Monitor costs/expenditures of business development efforts in Ajera and confirm quarterly status of marketing projects
Work closely with AP to ensure accuracy of consultant invoices and conduct weekly review of all project related payables with AP and the finance and accounting manager
Monthly AR review with billing managers
Monthly WIP review with billing manager – to be reviewed at monthly finance meetings
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
1-3 years project accounting experience (architecture/engineering/construction industry knowledge a bonus)
Critical thinker with an excellent attention to detail
Highly organized with an ability to multitask and manage various deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel
