BIM / Technology Manager


We are looking for a Design Technology Manager to join our talented and energetic team. This new position will research emerging technologies and maintain current digital design and production platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

The firm design culture centers around being a research-based design firm.  Each challenge is met with a passionate response to develop a solution that is functional, cost-effective & beautiful. The Technology Manager will be integral in this problem solving & expected to meet each Technology challenge with the same passion.

  • Manage the office-wide Design Technology and BIM systems and processes.

  • Through collaboration with project teams, develop innovative strategies to enhance our ability to communicate ideas to clients and other stakeholders.

  • Research, test and deploy new digital tools to be integrated into the firm’s design process.

  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the firm’s BIM standards and related documentation & ensure that project models are setup & maintained according to firm standards.

  • Provide support for design technologies, including documentation of best practices and known issues.

  • Develop and lead regular training sessions for firm staff.

  • Work with management to develop strategy for future development of the firm’s digital capabilities.

Education / Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of architecture or related design and construction experience.

  • Architecture, construction or design related field experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, or technology field.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit & Navisworks Manage.

  • Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Dynamo & Lumion

  • Autodesk Inventor, Visual Basic, Script Writing & customizing Autodesk Revit API preferred.

  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills are a must.

  • Ability to lead groups and build consensus amongst stakeholders is a must

  • Hands on approach and flexibility are a must.
