Running parallel with the architectural design, SanDisk Headquarters was an opportunity to extend the identity of the company within the spaces through the development of three unique exhibitions – a company timeline chronologically displaying the company’s connection to the digital consumer world, a Patent Wall showcasing the company’s extensive collection of patents, and a World Wide Location displaying their global reach.
The Patent Wall spans the curvature of the lobby’s atrium enclosure and visually draws visitors from the entry of the main building to the second floor. Only a third of the company’s extensive patent portfolio are displayed. Each patent was hand selected by the client to be displayed with the notion that they are individual accomplishments from the last three decades that contribute to present, greater whole that is SanDisk today.
The timeline, known as the Timeline of Innovation, captures the length of the company’s history. The physical display of products and chronological display of numbers and facts are combined to showcase how the company was founded and highlights major successes since the company’s inception.
The World Wide Locations display is situated in the breakout space of the primary auditorium to reinforce to visiting colleagues and analysts of San Disk’s impact as a global reaching company. Each plaque within the display represents an office location and its business function.
To further connect the company within the campus, a wayfinding system was developed within the many corridors of the office space. This system utilizes oversized graphics allowing for easier navigation of the campus’ amenities and various business departments.
In total, the SanDisk project is cohesively designed, with architectural design, furniture and environmental graphics to define the SanDisk experience.
