Sara Todavchick received her Master’s in Architecture from Kansas State University. While at Kansas State, she studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark for a semester learning about the Danish culture. Her academic work ranges from an educational Farm Museum to improving wayfinding for a National Park to residential work. Sara’s thesis was focused on the Los Angeles’ River and how to turn this abandoned public amenity from unwanted to desired. This called for the combination of a typical Los Angeles’ housing typology, The Dingbat, the social aspect of Food Trucks, and the rezoning of the river to allow for a new residential neighborhood. Upon graduating Sara took this new found residential knowledge and worked with a variety of small firms here in Chicago before joining Valerio Dewalt Train. Currently, Sara is in the process of becoming a licensed architect in Illinois.
