Born and raised in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nina moved to Illinois after graduating high school, upon receiving an International Tuition Award to study Architecture in the United States.
She is a recent graduate of the Masters of Architecture program at the Illinois Institute of Technology and her interests lie in socially responsible and engaging architecture. In her final year, Nina worked on a conceptual proposal for the controversial National Museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina for which she hopes to expand on and push further in the near future. Her past experiences range from art installations to commercial and multi family housing projects.
As a recent addition to VDTA, Nina joins the team with diverse and unique perspectives on design and the design process, as well as a strong interest in sustainable architecture and digital fabrication. Nina is currently spending her free time on assembling her own CNC machine, furniture and product design, and working towards becoming a licensed architect in the State of Illinois.
