A recent 2015 recipient of a Masters of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Ferdinand brings a varied background to the VDTA architecture studio. Having grown up in the Netherlands, England and Czech Republic, he brings an international perspective to his design process. Receiving his B.A. in Economics from Reed College, he went on to work in the financial sector prior to making the transition into architecture. While at school he was recognized for a variety of projects; most recently being a finalist in the Louis Vuitton SPARK award. In his final year he worked closely with team Pezo von Ellrichshausen, the MCHAP Emerge Prize winners. Currently Ferdinand is involved in a broad range of VDTA studio projects. On a local level, Ferdinand is kept busy with volunteer architecture projects, furniture making and the occasional round of golf.
